“ The best restaurant in Everglade city period. 10/10 service, super fast food. More than just dining but an experience! Will be coming back on all my visits. ”
“ If you want a real meal in a real restaurant in Everglades city this is your best choice Family run. And clearly they take pride in what they serve and the ambience. The restaurant is immaculate. We had a huge serving of shrimp with enchilado sauce ( that is not a typo. It is a type of tomato based not very spicy, but very flavorful sauce.) Three enormous conch fritters A delicious grouper sandwich with perfect french fries And snapper. This was caught by the owner’s brother earlier today ! The owner is also the chef and the snapper was just cooked to perfection I didn’t think we could eat anything more but a wonderful server Andres convinced us ”
“ I would give it a 4.5 so I went with 5 instead of 4 stars... I ordered the grouper and added 6 jumbo shrimp. Everything was really good - shrimp was perfectly cooked and grouper was cooked well built not perfect - still was delicious. The black bean soup was very very good as were the vegetables. The tres leches cake dessert was a 10/10 - absolutely delicious along with a cappuccino. Everglades City is a bit out of the way so the prices seem high but the prices are very much in line with every other restaurant around so no complaints there. The son of the owners was my waiter and he did a fantastic job - extremely sweet kid. I have long been an eater of seafood so I know how different fish can be cooked every time - I think I could easily go back and it be perfectly cooked - and it was pretty delicious as it was. I would definitely suggest stopping here if driving by - good beer selection also. If you aren’t too hungry they have the amazing Tres Leches Cake and very good coffee/espresso drinks! ”
“ Lovely family owned restaurant with a fantastic menu. We ate here multiple times during our stay in Everglades City - we got to try the snapper, authentic Cuban flan, and homemade key lime pie! It was the best food of our whole trip. I only wish we got to come in the morning to try their espresso, I’ve heard it’s quite good! ”
“ Friendly, family owned restaurant with great service! Our server made the great suggestion to order Captain Mark's Fiesta for my family - it was plenty for the 4 of us, and we got to try 5 different dishes. The Cuban flavors - and the tres leches cake - are a welcome change from the fried fish and wedge salads found in so many other places. The added gratuity wasn't upsetting - it's clearly stated on the menu (which is more than I can say for every restaurant meal we had in Miami) and is reasonable for good food & good service. ”
“ My son and I visited Captain Morgan's after an airboat ride and we really enjoyed it. The food was very fresh , the owners were all there and took a lot of pride in the menu and it shows . We got the platter for two and it was fantastic. Also the Tres Leches cake was phenomenal with a Cuban espresso. ”
“ Stumbled upon this gem after a fun air boat ride. This was not the restaurant recommended to us but I'm glad we gave it a try. A nice & spotlessly clean family owned restaurant. The owner/hostess/waitress/baker was amazing. She reviewed the menu with us, gave us her recommendations & even shared some personal stories with us. All options chosen (shrimp, crab, plantains) were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend stopping in. ”
“ This is a treasure. Authentic Cuban food. Homemade. Family owned restaurant. Nice because it isn’t fried. The sauces are amazing. We will surely come here again. The service was over the top! ”
